Hey guys!! Today was a four day weekend so I decided to treat myself by getting brunch at Jeannine’s bakery with a friend. This restaurant is healthy and aesthetic. We ended up going to Jeannine’s bakery on State Street because it has a very beautiful outside seating area. It was very calm, quiet and relaxing. There’s also a telephone booth that you can take pictures in and a big fountain with turtles right across from it. One of the only problems I came upon while being at Jeannine’s bakery was that the line was out the door and it ended up being a thirty minute wait. I also didn’t like how this restaurant is very different from almost every other one I’ve gone to. You have to wait in line and then order your food at the counter, after that they give you a number and a hostess sits you down at your table. I do not like this method because it takes much longer and it’s uncomfortable. I ended up ordering a hot chocolate with whipped cream and a barbeque chicken salad. The salad was unbelievable, I probably will not be ordering it again though because it was $15.50. Everything jeannine’s sells is very pricey and that’s another issue I have with them. My salad had Romaine Lettuce with Chicken, Corn, Black Beans, Jicama, Jack Cheese, Tortilla Strips, Lime, BBQ Sauce and Ranch Dressing. I definitely recommend getting this salad if you’re willing to pay the price, it is now my favorite salad and I’d eat it everyday if I could. I rate the restaurant 3/5 ★★★☆☆ and the food 5/5 ★★★★★
